RIP Nana
Well this past Sunday morning Nana decided to be the the Lord. We sure do miss her here on Earth and I wish that Riley was going to be able to make some memories with her last living Great Grandmother but I know she is so happy now up in heaven! At least now she can SEE and at least now there is another angel in heaven to keep a close watch over my baby girl while we are here on earth.
As I have been reminiscing over my relationship with Nana I thought about a few things that I will always remember: going shopping, eating any and every desert we could get our hands on, stopping to get hot tamales, playing in all her shoes and jewelry, the drive in her Cadillac to and from Shelby and stopping to eat in Tunica at the Blue and White, going to Emma's to swim, playing with that vibrating belly band machine, how she said "Well I declare!", Emma, Azalea Gardens with Caroline and Catherine, her red lipstick, how she always went on cruises, driving into town to go to McCarty's to make pottery, driving to LA with her and Albert to get lottery tickets that we never won, playing in that huge magnolia tree in her front yard, having her there while I walk down the isle and finally getting to see her hold the last baby she would ever hold! Lots and lots of memories that will stay with me forever!
