You Are My Sunshine 1st Birthday Party

The theme of Riley's First Birthday is "You Are My Sunshine". I had no idea how much you could do with it, but here is what I ended up doing for her party! She, and I, just loved it :-)

Mason Jars for Riley's Party

Mason Jars, in need of a little TLC

I chose 2 different colored ribbon

I cut the ribbon so that it would fit around the mouth of the mason jars

Using my trusty hot glue gun, I glued each ribbon around the mouth of the mason jars

I love how they turned out!

And some straws to make them picture perfect!

Since no one knew how old Riley was going to be, I decided I needed to post it to the front door! LOL

I took a X Acto knife and cut a "1" out of a box

I bought cupcake liners in my desired color

I used my trusty hot glue gun to adhere them to my cut out

And then you have a perfect door hanger that you can use for any party! I used a Command Strip to attach it to the front door and it lasted all day!

I needed a cute yellow frame to display her invitation at her 1st birthday and of course I could not find one! So whats a girl to do, well spray paint of course! LOL! I would spray paint Riley if she would sit still long enough!
